Dear parishioner,
Here’s what’s happening this week!

Family Vacation Bible School
Family Vacation Bible School will be back this year from Monday, July 12th until Friday, July 16th! The event will be for Pre-K to 8th grade students with volunteer opportunities for High school students. This year, we ask for at least one parent to stay with their child for Family Vacation Bible School. The event will be held in person and there will also be an adult group available for people with or without kids.

If you would like to sign up or volunteer, please click the attachment and turn in your form to the parish office as soon as possible!

Summer Watch Party
We will be hosting a watch party through Zoom of The Chosen, Season One, on Thursdays at 7pm. This will continue each Thursday, concluding on August 5th, 2021. If you would like to join, please contact the parish office for more information.

Our Mission
Sacred Heart Catholic School’s mission is to establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning and provide an educational environment in which the basic tenets of Christian morals and ethics are visibly present. Recognizing the unique needs of each student, the faculty and staff will endeavor to nurture, challenge and guide all students toward their maximum academic, spiritual, physical, social, and emotional potential. As a Catholic school, we will emphasize God’s word and celebrate His presence through prayer, liturgy, and service to others.

Mass Times

Bishop Knestout and other bishops have decided to lift the dispensation of the Sunday and Holy Days Mass obligation in the Dioceses of Richmond, and will reinstate that obligation beginning on Saturday, June 26, 2021 and Sunday, June 27, 2021. We welcome and encourage the Faithful to return to full in-person participation of the Sunday Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith. If you would like to read the joint statement regarding Lifting the General Dispensation from the Obligation to Attend Mass , please click here.
This obligation does not apply to those who are ill; those who have reason to believe that they were recently exposed to the coronavirus, another serious or contagious illness; those who are confined to their home, a hospital, or nursing facility; or those with serious underlying health conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition. If you do not wish to be captured by live streaming, please refrain from attending that particular Mass time.
