Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition. If you do not wish to be captured by live streaming, please refrain from attending that particular Mass time.

Vacation Bible School
We are coming close to the end of our summer Virtual VBS! We have had such great success, and hope that those who participated enjoyed their lessons and crafts. We are compiling pictures and videos to release a final “wrap-up” video. If you would like to be included in this film, please be sure to send us photos or videos of your child working on their dance movies, lessons or crafts.
Additionally, we have only a few kits left! If you know of another child or family that would enjoy this opportunity, please have them complete the registration form or contact Joyce (joyceb@sheartchurch.org). We would love to run out of supplies!

Prayer List

Please continue to pray for the spiritual and physical health of these brothers and sisters in Christ.

Notes of Encouragement and Sympathy
Please consider writing a note of encouragement and sympathy to Luke Fitzgerald, who lost his mother, Doris Jean Fitzgerald, on July 12, 2020. Luke was our seminarian last summer. He will be returning to the seminary in August.
In addition, Fr. Charles Breindel, a former pastor of Sacred Heart, specifically requests prayers and would also love correspondence. He reports that he is particularly lonely where he lives. Please consider writing a note or letter of encouragement to him.

Congratulations to Dee, Ray, Addison, Melissa, Janice, Jessica, Paloma and Jason on receiving the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation this past weekend! We are excited to see the plans God has in store for each and every one of you!
