  • The church remains open for personal prayer: Mon. – Fri., 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Reconciliation: Saturdays, 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. OR by appointment
  • Masses on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. will still be live-streamed

Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition. If you do not wish to be captured by live streaming, please refrain from attending that particular Mass time.

Good news! Fr. Jonathan has tested negative for COVID-19. Praise be to God! He is feeling better and just needed some rest. Thank you for all your supportive messages and well wishes. Father plans to celebrate all daily and weekend Masses this week. Please contact the parish office with any questions or concerns.

In addition, donors who itemize will also receive deductions for charitable contributions on state and federal taxes. Participants should consult their tax advisors to determine their specific tax savings. Individuals and businesses can receive substantial tax advisors to determine their specific tax savings. Other Announcements

Sunday, September 13th is Grandparents' Day! Please offer this prayer written by Pope Benedict XVI for all the nanas, papas, grandpas, or grandmas in your lives. May God continue to watch over them and their families!

Lord Jesus,
you were born in the Virgin Mary, the daughter of Saints Joachim and Anne. Look with love on grandparents the world over. Protect them! They are a source of enrichment for families, for the Church and for all of society. Support them!  As they grow older, may they continue to be for their families strong pillars of Gospel faith, guardians of noble domestic ideals, living treasuries of sound religious traditions. Make them teachers of wisdom and courage, that they may pass on to future generations the fruits of their mature human and spiritual experience.

Lord Jesus,
help families and society to value the presence and role of grandparents. May they never be ignored or excluded, but always encounter respect and love. Help them to live serenely and to feel welcomed in all the years of life which you give them. Mary, Mother of all the living, keep grandparents constantly in your care, accompany them on their earthly pilgrimage, and by your prayers, grant that all families may one day be reunited in our heavenly homeland, where you await all humanity for the great embrace of life without end.
Amen!

If you have questions, please contact Don Gauthier (goach46@yahoo.com).

Knights of Columbus Coat Drive
The Knights of Columbus is seeking donations of new coats! Due to COVID-19, they have not been able to stand in front of their usual places and collect donations and funds for Coats for Kids.

This year, they have set up a large red box in our church commons for you to drop off your donations. The coats MUST be new and have the price tag still attached to them. Boys sizes 8-18 and girls sizes 8-16. If possible, please place your coats in a plastic bag. We will have the box in the commons until Monday, October 12th.

Monetary donations can be given to Elaine Taylor in the parish office. She will deliver your donations to members of our Knights of Columbus. Thank you for your generosity and supporting this great cause!

Community Needs Weekend
September 26-27, 2020

Every year, the Community Needs Weekend gives us a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our friends and neighbors in the wider Danville community and ask how we can lift them up in prayer.

This year, instead of writing your needs on a paper and dropping them off in a box at the church, we are asking that you submit your prayer requests and needs using this Google form. Please click on the button below, fill out the form, and share it with others who would like to submit a request.

We will incorporate all of the community needs in the Prayers of the Faithful for the Masses on September 26th and 27th. We hope you'll be able to join us in praying for our community!
For additional information about the Community Needs Weekend, please contact information@sheartchurch.org.
