Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition. If you do not wish to be captured by live streaming, please refrain from attending that particular Mass time.

Other Announcements

Second Collection
The second collection for this upcoming weekend is for maintenance and improvement around the church. Thank you for your financial support and generosity!

You can make your contributions by giving online or through the GivePlus mobile app. You can also drop off your envelopes at the church!

The Search
Sometimes we get so caught up in the depth of our faith that we forget what it was like to first wrestle with the big questions – Who am I? What am I searching for? What’s our shared story? Who is Jesus? Why do we need a Church? Is there a God? We all need to get back to the basics to make sure the foundation is strong.
We are excited to introduce The Search, a new 7 part Augustine Institute Original Series with the goal of lighting that first fire in those who don’t yet know the faith or reigniting the fire in those who need a primer on the foundational questions. This program will be for 18-25 year olds -including college students- which will begin on Monday, February 1st, at 7 p.m.

ALPHA
The ALPHA program is a 9-week series including a retreat weekend that involves brief videos, discussion, and time for fellowship and games. We will be offering the ALPHA program to high school teens. If your child is interested in this program or you know someone who would like to become involved in Alpha, please sign up or contact Homero Ramirez Leon at hramirezleon@sheartchurch.org

Empty Bowls 2021

Each ticket will have a specific time allotted to pick up your bowl and participate in a chance auction. No soup will be served. Vouchers from area restaurants will be available for ticket holders. Guests can purchase tickets for $20/person ($25/person after February 21) at God’s Storehouse, Karen’s Hallmark in Danville Mall, and online at Eventbrite.
