Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition. If you do not wish to be captured by live streaming, please refrain from attending that particular Mass time.

Stations of the Cross
Join us for a mini pilgrimage each Friday during Lent (3 p.m. in English,
6 p.m. in Spanish via FaceBook) to focus on specific events of Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man, beginning with His condemnation. At each station, we recall, pray, and meditate on the specific event of Christ’s journey to Cavalry. Journey alongside Christ as He makes His way to the cross for you.

Annual Diocesan Appeal
Here we are. Another Lenten season is upon us. This is the year I’m going to make it all 6 weeks. I’m going to give up Coke and candy bars. I’m going to fast on Fridays, and I’m going to pray in the morning before work/school. I’m committed. (By the way, how are your New Year’s resolutions going?)

Don’t worry! We’ve all been there. Every year. All you have to do is try. All you have to do is try each day. Then, when you forget and eat something you shouldn’t have, or didn’t pray in the morning, just start over the next day. The biggest thing is to NOT GIVE UP.

Ask God for help this Lent. Ask him to walk with you, to guide you, to strengthen you. Then do your part – One. Day. At. A. Time. – and be sure to pray, fast and give. (Have you made your pledge to the Annual Diocesan Appeal?)

Empty Bowls 2021
Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. Artisans at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History and George Washington High School art teachers have created handcrafted ceramic bowls for the event which will be held at God’s Storehouse on Memorial Drive. Each ticket will have a specific time allotted to pick up your bowl and participate in a chance auction. No soup will be served. Vouchers from area restaurants will be available for ticket holders. Guests can purchase tickets for $20/person ($25/person after February 21) at God’s Storehouse, Karen’s Hallmark in Danville Mall, and online at Eventbrite.

Prayer List
Please continue to pray for the spiritual and physical health of these brothers and sisters in Christ.
