Dear parishioner,
Here’s what’s happening this week!

An Update Regarding
Fr. Charles Breindel
Our pastor emeritus, Fr. Charles Breindel, suffered a stroke over the weekend and was admitted to Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk. He hopes to return home tomorrow (Tuesday) and appreciates your prayers as he recovers. The experience of the past year in quarantine has been particularly lonely for him, and he always enjoys hearing from friends and former parishioners. We encourage you to sent him a card or a letter at Marian Manor, 5345 Marian Lane, Virginia Beach, 23462.

Consecration to St. Joseph
We will continue our 5 week consecration to St. Joseph on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Once complete, we will have the consecration on Saturday, May 1st with a special mass on the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker. If you would like to join, please send an email to joyceb@sheartchurch.org to be included in the email list.

Following Christ
Following Christ will continue to meet on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Following Christ is the second part of the ChristLife evangelization process. This course guides people in how to live as a Catholic disciple of Jesus Christ in today’s world based on basic disciplines and truths that have been practiced by Christians from the time of the early Church. If you have completed Discovering Christ and are interested in joining, please contact Joyce Bustamante at joyceb@sheartchurch.org

Easter Lillies
We would like to thank everybody who purchased Easter Lillies for this Easter weekend. The list of flower donors are below. Thank you for always answering the call to help beautify our altar and sanctuary for Easter, we could not do it without you!

Prayer List
Please continue to pray for the spiritual and physical health of these brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mass Times

Bishop Knestout has dispensed all the faithful in the Diocese of Richmond from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. However, if you choose to attend a public Mass during the weekday or weekend, it is absolutely imperative that you adhere to the various guidelines and requirements. Please take the time to watch our video on how to safely return to Mass and participate in the liturgy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the parish office.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Mass is still being live-streamed for use on various Diocesan digital media accounts of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, including, but not limited to, the websites of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Catholic Virginian, and the social media platforms of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Photography and/or screenshot images from the live-stream may be used for the Catholic Virginian print edition.
